    Zauner,
you should be able to take it to any archery shop up there and they should be able to help you out. They will know what is best to get. I do not know of any to recommend in Madison.

"Must haves": Camo, bow(set up with quiver, sights, arrow rest, and some faction of a dampener) arrows (at least 6) Broadheads, target

Just my opinion, but you really don't need much to get "started" You could even forego the camo if you were to hunt from a ground blind that would mask your outline. I think the biggest investment should be in your entire bow set-up. The more quality equipment you put into it the happier you will be with the flight of the arrow and the accuracy out to further distances. Good luck hunting, I look forward to hearing in the forums of deer you may harvest.

hey guys i am finally all set up! very excited to get some practicing in! I do have a question though on storing arrows. is there a proper way to do it so that the shaft and quivers aren't damaged. i was thinking about making something out of pvc, with a strap. what are your guys suggestions?

I have a hard case for my bow that also has enough storage for all of my arrows. You must have a soft case, or your hard case doesn't have storage. I started out with a soft case for my bow and I just left the arrows int he quiver attached to my bow but never felt comfortable with the protection provided so I bought an arrow case. I like your thinking of stoing them in a PVC home made case. The arrow case that I bought when I was starting out didn't cost much, but if you have some PVC laying around that might work just as well. In the long run you will probably want to get a hard case for your bow that has storage for your arrows as well.

I have just started too, and I am using the Rage 2 blade broadheads.  They cost about $40 for a pack of 3, however you can find them on ebay at times cheaper.
